Elements:
1 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 oz (brick) cream cheese, at room temperature
4 ounces butter, at room temperature
2/3 cup sugar
1 giant egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
10 oz guava paste (goiabada)
1/4 cup water
Elements:
Preheat oven to 350. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Put aside.
Whisk collectively dry components in a small bowl. Put aside.
Beat cream cheese and butter with a mixer till easy. Add sugar, and proceed to beat till fluffy and effectively integrated. Add egg and vanilla paste, and beat till integrated. Stream in dry components, and blend till mixed.
Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll in your arms to kind into balls, and place on parchment-lined baking sheets, about 2 inches aside. If the dough may be very sticky, refrigerate it 10-Quarter-hour previous to rolling into balls.
Bake till cookies are puffy, about 10 minutes. In the meantime, warmth the guava paste in a small pot with water, stirring sometimes till the guava paste is of preserves-consistency and easy. This could take about 10 minutes. Carry on very low warmth till the filling of the cookies is totally completed.
Take away from oven, and make indentations in facilities by urgent together with your thumb or use the again of a spoon. Fill with guava. Return to oven, and bake a further 5-8 minutes or till golden brown. Switch the cookies on the parchment paper sheets to wire racks, and let cool fully.
